We are proud to announce that PROCURE has been named Most Innovative Company at the BizX Awards 2026, one of the most respected business awards programmes in the region. We were also shortlisted for Best Service Based Company, recognition that reflects the breadth of what the PROCURE team delivers every day.

This award matters to us. Not because of what it says about us, but because of what it says about the organisations we work with, the schools, trusts, and education institutions that took a chance on a different approach to procurement and saw the difference it made.

Being named Most Innovative Company is a reflection of what happens when the right expertise meets the right problem. In education procurement, that problem has been waiting a long time to be solved properly.

What BizX Recognised

The BizX Awards celebrate businesses that are making a genuine difference, through innovation, service quality, and commercial impact. To be recognised in the Most Innovative Company category is particularly meaningful for PROCURE, because innovation is not something we pursue for its own sake. It is the outcome of asking a simple question repeatedly: why does procurement in education work the way it does,

and what would it look like if it worked better?

The answer to that question has shaped everything we do, from the way we approach benchmarking and supplier selection, to the way we build evidence bases that allow school business managers and bursars to negotiate with genuine confidence. The innovation the judges recognised is not a product feature. It is a methodology. A way of working that consistently delivers outcomes that the traditional approach to education procurement does not.

Being shortlisted for Best Service Based Company alongside the Most Innovative Company win is equally significant. It confirms that the quality of what we deliver is inseparable from how we deliver it, that the service experience matters as much as the commercial outcome.

The Problem We Were Built to Solve

Education procurement has historically operated in a way that benefits suppliers more than buyers. Schools and trusts often lack the independent benchmark data needed to assess whether a quote is fair. Procurement processes are frequently under-resourced, under-documented, and under-scrutinised. And the governance pressure on school leaders, from Ofsted, from governors, from auditors, continues to increase while the time and expertise available to manage procurement properly does not.

PROCURE was built to close that gap. We provide the independent expertise, the market data, and the procurement frameworks that give education organisations the capability to make better decisions, and to demonstrate that those decisions were made well.

The result is procurement that is not just cheaper. It is more defensible, more transparent, and more aligned with the values that education organisations are held to. Every pound saved through better procurement is a pound that goes back into the classroom, the staffing budget, or the programmes that schools exist to deliver.

Every pound saved through better procurement is a pound that goes back into the classroom. That is not an aspiration. For the organisations we work with, it is a measurable outcome.

What This Award Means for Our Clients

Awards like this matter for the organisations that work with us, not just for us. When you appoint an independent procurement partner, you are placing significant trust in their expertise and their independence. The BizX recognition is external validation of something our clients already know, that the PROCURE approach delivers, and that the team behind it is genuinely committed to the outcomes, not just the engagement.

For school business managers, bursars, and finance directors considering whether independent procurement support is right for their organisation, this recognition should offer reassurance. The Most Innovative Company award from BizX 2026 reflects a body of work delivered across a growing number of education organisations, and the consistent commercial outcomes those organisations have achieved as a result.

Our work in the past year has included:

•      Independent benchmarking of catering, cleaning, and facilities management contracts across schools and multi-academy trusts

•      Procurement support for Benedict's Law compliance, helping schools source the right training providers and AAI supplies compliantly and at fair market price

•      Supplier selection processes for education organisations going to tender for the first time or re-tendering long-standing contracts

•      Governance documentation and audit trails that satisfy Ofsted, governors, and external auditors

•      Cost savings and contract improvements that have collectively returned significant value to education budgets

What Comes Next

Winning Most Innovative Company at BizX 2026 is not a destination. It is confirmation that the direction we are heading is the right one, and that the pace needs to increase, not slow down.

Education procurement is changing. The regulatory environment is becoming more demanding. The commercial pressure on school budgets is intensifying. The scrutiny on how public and charitable funds are spent is greater than it has ever been. In that environment, the value of genuinely independent, evidence-based procurement support will only grow.

We are continuing to expand the range of organisations we work with and the depth of support we provide. If your school, trust, or education organisation has not yet explored what independent procurement support could deliver, now is a good time to start that conversation.

We do not have preferred suppliers. We do not take referral fees. We work entirely in the interests of the organisations that appoint us, and the BizX judges have now independently confirmed that the way we do that is genuinely innovative.
